So does anyone have any experience with Avid.1 wheels?

Looking at a second set for the track on my XR4Ti. They have some on sale right now for 4 wheels shipped for $402 via eBay

All I know is they look a lot like a style that TSW makes.

Just another knockoff trying to capitalize on a name.

Ripoff of ADV.1

Same as 885 wheels being a ripoff of BBS.

Which is great if you're not trying to pay for a name.  I mean, if you figure there are at least 4 times as many wheels out there as there have been cars built in all of history, it's difficult to make a special snowflake argument about how this cast piece of aluminum is worth multiples of what this other one is. If its dimensionally accurate and looks good it's at least 90% as good as any other brand wheel that's produced the same way. Now, casting vs forging, 1pc vs multi-piece, yeah that's apples to oranges. I think cheap aftermarket aluminum wheels are one of the best things to happen to car enthusiasts ever.

Yes, I understand they are knock off's but my budget doesn't allow to get the nice wheels.

Well, I was also looking at a used set of XXR's but those have the wrong offset so it looks like I'll be getting these AVID.1's.

Thanks folks!

I bought a set for a beater I just picked up, in 15", that look like the all-too-copied Spoon wheels(think rota slipstream). For something like 300 shipped for a set of new wheels I figured why not. Shipped in individual boxes with great packaging, no different than a higher end set of wheels. Tires mounted fine and they look pretty swell... thing is, I haven't driven the car with them bolted up yet so I'm not exactly a helpful reviewer. That said, no regrets here.

These showed up today and they look great.

Once I get my car back from my buddies shop, I'll toss them on and see how they look,

True and the cost is much more reasonable.

For a daily they are fine.  I wouldnt track cheap wheels.  The OEMs are most likely lighter and definitely stronger.  Friends don't let friends roll on replicas.

OEM wheels are usually pretty heavy, all that extra mass and strength for the high number of duty cycles required.

I don't think anyone would would be pleased with, "Yes, this is your 4th set of tires, that means you must by new wheels as well."
