Best company to ship a Scirocco cross country?

My boss at VolksWerks has located a nice A1 Scirocco in L.A. and wants to have it shipped here to Falls Church. Wondering if anyone has used any auto shipping companies and had good/bad experience. Looks like it'll cost $700-$1000 to have it shipped. Googled it already and waiting for more quotes. 1st search said $760-1100 Any input appreciated, or if you're doing ALMS or Koni Challenge or other and have room in your trailer and are coming from the west coast to the DC area, let me know! Easiest to deal for me with was DAS auto shippers. Others I have tried used "brokers" so picking up (and getting a firm date) was tough. DAS has some horror stories out there, but they worked well and efficiently with me...plus they always had someone on the phone if I wanted to contact and get status (very important when somone else has my car).
