I only met him about twice, but Bob was very influential in the Porsche scene. He helped bring an exhibit of art deco cars to the local art museum, too.
His son used his Porsche Club connections to establish a business restoring old Porsches and even worked for the Porsche family themselves.
RIP, Bob.
Very sad. His Porsche collection was awesome. Visited it with local PCA members. He would often show up at the c&c at the Porsche dealer in Durham NC and many of his cars were displayed there. Very nice man. RIP.
