do you need Jag specific elbow grease or will generic parts-store elbow grease be fine?

The ad says it has a manual transmission, which I assume is incorrect.  Hard to tell the condition of the car from the one photo, but for $1000 it's probably a decent deal.

I dont see it being worth 1000 unless you like rust and British vehicles that have not ran in 30 years. 

I see a pile of parts and a V12 coffee table or wine rack, not a car.

Not sure what the engine picture is from but it’s NOT that car in the ad. The car is faded blue and the engine pic is from a brown car. 

Probably a scam. The other car this guy “has” is yellow and very clean but the other picture is filthy. 

Looks like they are posting one picture of the actual car and one picture like it so you know what car is under all the dust.

And in the engine compartment picture, the wiper arm is resting toward driver's-left, while in the whole car shot it's to the right. Yeah, shenanigans.

Yep  BUT even with it being what it is I would still want one!!

If you read the add they are getting rid of multiple cars SO I take it as there is a green one and a brown one.  the green one is the whole car the motor shot is in a brown car.  Now my intrest is peaked.  IT may not be a fake after all

This tin top on the other hand has peaked my intrest.

These chrome mirror cars would be awesome for an LS swap. I'd even consider leaving the burnt paint as is. Someday...

I have had that exact same idea for a long time.  A 6.0 Vortech would work just fine for me.
