It's been awhile since I've posted here, or worked on my project. I've been having trouble getting 1985 Corolla GTS to run right...and it's been 5 years of trying to 'just' get a rebuilt stock motor swapped back in. It was my birthday this weekend and I realized just how much time is passing by.
I am in the Tampa/St. Petersburg Florida area and would be very appreciative if there's anyone local who can help me figure this out and I would be happy to cover the beers and pay for racing once the car works. I'd prefer autocross, rallycross or the FIRM and I'm open to whatever racing or location you'd like to drive at. I'm not against paying for help, it's just two shops haven't been able to finish this project. If you know a mechanic or shop that would also be a huge help.
The stock motor has been swapped in and rebuilt although the TVIS on the intake came disabled/removed. The wiring in the engine bay looks rough, there was problems with the dash wiring so I bought a jdm dash harness and digital Speedo that were put in.
Right now the car starts with starter fluid but stumbles when you try to rev it at all. None of the electronics work now and they all did before swap.
It has a lot of new parts, ecu, etc I think it's a combination of bad wiring and vacuum line/leaks. I've cleaned out the gas tank but it's going on a year now since then.
