Let me know if they decide to part with any of the Vauxhalls, I'd rock another Victor in a second!

This really rare Victor wagon is for sale here in Lethbridge - $400. Solid and complete but sitting a long, long time and some front end damage.

The DS is probably available - its actually in pretty good shape. Suspension works, runs well, etc but probably out of my price range this summer. The budget will be extremely tight this year at least.

The Vauxhall Firenza was the suspension donor for the Jensen Healey.

Renault 4, with the Capri a very close second. There's just something very right with that design, or lack thereof...

Another well-known weak spot on European Fords of that age is the top of the front shock towers - make sure the shocks aren't getting intimate with the hood already.

Hmmmmmmm, you could potentially source a fuel injection intake manifold from an old TVR280i http://homepage.mac.com/farquasi/TVRCCNA/4sale/imgs/TVR9.jpg

It was originally CIS injection... but the manifold can be used for other fuel injection solutions....

Is that McGarrett's old five oh unit back there?

I'd do that Renault in a heartbeat.

This link seems to claim the rwd 3.8L manifold bolts onto the 2.8L ...

I like either the renault, or the rover sd1. The citroen would be by far the most valuable, the others really arent worth much.

Honestly, I've never heard of this happening with a Capri.

I just looked through all the pictures in the link. I grew up in canada in the 50s and 60s. Various members of my family owned many of those cars. My Dad had a Zephyr, Standard Vanguard,Austin A40 (twice),Vauxhall Victor and a Vauxhall Viva. In high school a buddy had a Vauxhall Cresta. My Grandfather had a bullet nose Studebaker. Cousin had a Rover 2000 TC and an uncle had a Metropolitan. I must have lived a rich life and didn't realize it until now !!

What did you read?

This is what I read....

Remove the carb, and bolt the throttle body in its place, its that easy.

BUT your point isn't manifolds... its an EFI available for the 2.8. Got that... good point....

TR7 + Rover SD1 = TR8
But that Capri looks awful nice though.

3.8 V6 Ford is of no relation to 2.8 V6 Ford. One is Windsor, one is Koln, and ne'er the two shall mix parts like intake manifolds. A bolt-on TBI might work although you'll need a different end for the throttle linkage where it goes to the butterfly. Length will probably need work as well. The nice thing is that this allows for the removal of the 90 degree carb adapter.
