Yay! I installed all those parts I just bought. Boo! They done stolt my car! Dog barked at 426am & I look and still see car. Dog barks again at 520am, I go outside to pick up the trash can & why is that busted t-top over there when it should be on.... adios, camaro. Motherberkeleyer.

I already got the changes are a coming speech at work, so I need to keep costs low. I've got my eye on a few clean 1997 miatas.

I like change, but I don't have time to learn something new. Miata is cheap, reliable & a no brainer which would allow me to focus on finding another job. I'd really like a hot or just reliable hatch. While I'm chilling in the rental, I may get informed on GTIs and maybe 318ti.

To me, it took some half skilful ninjitsu to get the car UP my driveway and down the street without starting it, setting off the alarm while me and the dog are up / somewhat alert and already decided which side arm to deploy. Lots of lessons and what ifs, but all I would pass on would be don't always assume what you hear is what you expect to hear, like people putting out their trash, gleaners, etc.

Motherberkeleyer. I need to be in a miata anyway.

It's amazing how alert dogs are to strange noises outside.

No one will steal my cars. They look worthless lol.

Get yourself one of these next time the dog barks.

Saiga 12, 12 gauge, 20 round drum full of shot/slug/shot/slug as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Mine was $525 from my friendly local firearms purveyor.

The poor car wasn't even worth stealing for parts. That's what I get for washing the months of dirt off.

A saiga 12 might help, but here in CA, anything with a pistol grip and a detachable magazine can only shoot soap bubbles.

Yes indeed. Run tell dat! TeeHee. If I went outside with the boom stick, I'd be in a cell right now worried about some raping.

I'd get behind that logic if somebody hadn't tried to jack my '88 GMC work truck. Maybe they wanted the murdered out (spray painted black) steel wheels or the Hi-Po 305.

The PRC is a failed state. Run.

My parents live in a nice neighborhood north of San Berdoo. At the peak, houses were probably in the 800K range, maybe more. The town used to be run by a certain outlaw motorcycle club and all was quiet. Then the club moved their HQ and the town went to hell. There's a murder every week now, and my parents have been woke up a couple of times now by someone trying to open their front door. The dog went off and mom looks outside and sees someone trying to climb over the fence. Of course, being the PRC, if you shoot one of the mother Berkeleyers, you're in trouble. Mom says that food prices are going through the roof, as everyone is on food stamps and could care less how expensive anything is, buying the best.

Anyway, sorry you got ripped off. Take it as a sign to move. Arkansas is full of people who escaped from the PRC.

Those Saigas look cool, but the review I read in SGN some time back said they had some feeding issues, especially with the big mags. Did they work that out? Maybe that was a hi-cap stick (slab?) mag, not the drum.

Interesting you say that, because there seem to be a lot of people relocating to Southern Missouri from California to retire. Can't say I blame them.

Good News! The Dacia Sandero... wait... Saiga's don't come with a pistol grip. It has to do with BS 922r import restrictions since it is manufactured in Russia. The magazine size restrictions sux though. Move to a free state.

Mmm... an AK that shoots 12 gauge... my GA-born inner-redneck is all excited...

I guess that's one advantage of owning diesels... my barely muffled Cummins wakes the dead when started and it would take a small army to push it. And nobody wants a 7 year old VW wagon.

Mercury switch wired to a taser attached to the frame with a 12 volt backup battery nicely concealed so cutting the main power will not stop it. There are a couple other things but I have typed enough. More fun than a box of frogs.

How do I know? He he he he.. .. . I take the 5th

Oh-ya I absolutely do not recommend that you do this! You run the risk of zapping your self.

Found it. Besides break-in & steering column damage, it has been converted to super lightweight status. No more engine/tranny/electrics. LT1s go for about nothing on CL and Ray Charles couldn't tell the difference between a worn t56 and a box of rocks. It would have made more sense if they left the drivetrain on the side of the road and took the shiny body & suspension. Damn lizard insurance better come through. And I don't have time or space to stick LS/LQ goodness where it belongs. If this was an anime, it'b be LS7, flat black paint and theif hunting time.

yes, an lt1 and t56 dont yeild a ton of money, but they needed something to propel their crapcan caprice down the street after unloading $2k of their cash on 24's. and free is cheaper than craigslist!

sorry to hear about it. i hope the insurance does you right too!

The upside being you're halfway to a sweet engine swap. If you're interested.

True Story: I had a thief steal a busted alternator off my porch once. It clearly was busted, and I wasn't even going to turn it in for a core charge. Deader than Dracula at daylight. Can't imagine anyone wanted to strip what copper might have been in it.
