Made it to Boise. Last stop!

Final gas stop has happened!

T minus 3 hours to home.

Hey, I lived there for a few years! It's pretty desolate out there.

If you were up north in Idaho I woulda bought you a beer( or 7, I did a long trip like this and I think I lived in dirty martinis and beer lol)

It's a testament to how well you kept the car Danny. 3,500+ miles in 6 days coast to coast in 100*+ heat and the only failure was due to bad roads.

The missing bolt is a testament to how rust free the whole car must be!  Here is the rusty north, undercarriage bolts like that don't come out, even when we put great effort into trying to get them to come out.

As I learned on GRM, more proof to the idiom that the Mason Dixon line is the point where you stop using loctite and start using anti-sieze.

Looks like the 944 will feel right at home there. This was the old home:

• 3,482 miles and 55 hours of driving time.
• Averaged 23 MPG.
• Used 1 quart of oil in total.
• 11,312 feet highest pass climbed (Monarch Pass in Colorado).
• 1 breakdown (RR lower shock bolt went MIA).
• Lost 1 headlight washer cover button and 1 magnet. No damage.
• Bridgestone Potenza RE-11A's are great road trip tires in August.
