Aka, the reason 68-70 Chargers are so expensive.
I feel like I lost at least 20 IQ points watching that show, never mind admitting to it.
Anyone want to calculate what the cumulative value of those cars would be today? Remember, even the jumped cars are worth money now.

They made over 100,000 1969 Chargers. The original TV show killed somewhere around 200 of them. So it didn't really make a dent (get it? Ha!) in the total number of cars extant.
What it DID do was make them desirable to a wider group.
