Okay, so how is Ferrari going to berkeley this up? Maybe Hamilton will get #9?
Leclerc was being a bit of a whiny bitch behind Sainz, looks like his pace was from DRS and now they have sacrificed Sainz's strategy. Stupid.
That was a great ending, for sure. Merc have only themselves to blame for not having the chance to win. Great driving for Saint when it really mattered, as well as Perez- Lewis really messed up that restart to open a window checo was happy to take advantage of.
Mick almost got max, but of course max drove him off the track.
So, Lewis loses the two position he gained on the first start. Then, a 4.5 second pit stop to put him behind the F cars. Then, a safety car that lets Sergio catch up. Then, probably the wrong tire choice by the team.
Fast smooth track seems to agree with the Mercs. Lewis was a legitimate threat today.
I'm very happy for Carlos.
So, all the action pushing each other off the track and keeping positions off track at the end with no investigations or penalties should make it interesting heading into Austria where that always seems to be a problem. Got to love the consistency.
I figure it's been a very long time since the Spanish and Italian anthems were played on the podium.
It sounded good.

Tom Cruise!
Tom Cruise!
BWaHhahaaaaa......shnork
That was some really solid racing at the front at the restart. Great job by all the drivers, it was almost embarrassing when they cut to Max being an ass to Schumi.
Fun race. I don't think Mercedes could have done differently, that slow stop was only 1.5s slower than usual and the gap to Sainz was more than that. It would have ended the same. That safety car was just what Perez needed, too. Poor Leclerc.
If I were Verstsappen's race engineer, I would have turned off the radio.
Silverstone really is one of the better tracks on the calendar when it comes to actual racing. Seeing the cars take very different lines to set up a pass two or three corners later was so much better than the standard Tilke DRS-reliant track.
