Once I posted an internet 510 picture on a GRM thread and I made a comment since I'm a dreamer and I said; "that's my 510" when I really should've said it's my goal.
The actual owner stepped up to let me know it was his 510. it's orange.........

In stock trim they drive like a mundane 70s econo sedan BUT throw on some decent shocks and sway bars and they become hilarious fun. We've owned two.
Friend received these from Arizona just before Xmas...along with couple Datsun 620 pickups... long term projects...

Having driven 510s and Corollas when they were not very old, the 510 was at least twice the car.

I drove a baby blue 2 door in the late 80's in Winnipeg Mb Canada. It was a fun car!

Good to know. At this point, I like the way they look more than 2002s, and the 510 are probably cheaper. The 2002 I drove 15 years ago was so disappointing. I probably came in with too high of expectations, but it was so meh. It probably would have been better with some TLC.
It's good to know what I should expect should I ever get the chance to drive a 510.

I never logged in yesterday. Missed this. My mother had one of each body 510. Great cars. The 4 door she bought new. The 2 door was already a beater when it replaced the totaled 4 door.
Wally should recognize the background in the 2 door photo.
I have a copy of John Morton's "Stainless Steel Carrot". Interesting read.
In reply to CyberEric... today's 510s are more often than not modified in some way. The most common engine swaps are either the KA24 from a Nissan 240SX or JDM SR20DET. Both boost power from ~96hp stock to 175hp for the KA or more than 200hp for the SR. Plus selling prices are nuts these days (look at BAT for reference).
This one has a KA (owned by buddy who bought the Arizona cars)
