I did look at their stuff. I have their Dial-Ins on my Miata and love them. A lot of their narrowest offerings are 15x7.5" though. Not sure how tight that will be to fit. Those bronze Radiums look awesome though.

Konig helium is a great option and from a quick search is cheaper than your other options. I had a bronze 15" set on my 2013 Honda Fit for 3 Chicago winters and they held up great.

Why not look for the stock 15" alloy wheels sold on some of the Yarises? They look nice and when you go to sell the car will not give the impression that the car has been thrashed.

I recently purchased a used 5-speed Toyota Yaris hatchback to use as a DD. But, it has 14" steelies with snow tires on them, despite originally having 15" wheels according to the door placard. Lame. So now I need to purchase new wheels and tires. I want this car to be kind of fun to drive and it might do the occasional autocross when the Miata is broken, or I just don't feel like being beat up/stranded by that car, or if there is rain. I've already settled on 205/50R15 Continental ECS for the tires, so I just need wheels. I'm stuck on three choices that I can't pick between.

The Yaris in question is painted Meteorite (dark silver) and here's a photo.

Up first, the Enkei Compe in 15x7 and charcoal finish. I like the Minilite-esque appearance and think they would be a good look on this car. They are $168ea on Tire Rack.

Up next, the Sparco Terra in 15x7 with the grey finish. These are $150ea. I'd take them in bronze or gold, but it seems like they don't offer those in 15s that fit my car.

Finally, the Sparco FF-1 in bronze. Also $150. I like the look of bronze wheels, I think it's a good contrast with the silver paint.

Also check out the Konig flow formed wheels. Incredibly light and strong for the same price. My 17x8 polished Hypergrams are only like 14-15lbs each but they won't be in for like 5-6 weeks

Like I said earlier, Konigs tend to start at 15x7.5, which I'm not sure if will fit, although I do have a fender roller, and I did cram 15x9s under an unflared Miata.

I also like the looks of the silver Kosei K1s. They're a little cheaper than the Sparcos but a little heavier at 13.15lbs, still lighter than the Terras and the Compes

I really like those K1's but they might lose some of the effect being 15" on that car

15 x 7 and 195 55

It looks like a fair bit of people are running 7.5 and 8" wheels.

Was actually going to post that but figured it was too far off topic. He's fairly local to me, and not the only one to do that

Whatever is lightest since you want this to be fun to drive, and reducing unsprung mass is your friend.

Totally forgot about the Advanti Storm S1s. Even better, Good-Win has them in an exclusive bronze shade, and they are 10lbs for a 15x7, AND Good-Win has them on sale for $139 a piece plus free shipping. That's a win-win-win.

I don't recall which wheels they used, but go to YouTube and watch the Mighty Car Mods videos about their Yaris Hilton.  It looked pretty good until they blew the engine.  smiley

I haven't actually measured yet. I've had the car less than a week. But it has to get better mileage than the Subaru Baja it replaced, which only got 20mpg highway

I happen to have a set of those mr2 spyder wheels you could have cheap. Getting them to you would be difficult.

I ended up ordering the Good-Win Racing bronze Advantis yesterday. I sold the old FM coilovers off my Miata on Wednesday night, so they funded the purchase of the wheels. Hopefully they make it out of CA before the lockdown.

I think the bronze will look great!  As others mentioned, there were no bad choices in this thread.

In reply to John Welsh :

Yeah, they should look goof. The price, weight, color and supporting Good-Win Racing were all pluses. There might be a wait until I get them, and there will be a weight until I get tires for them, just because of everything going on. My job is still running but NY is calling for 75% workforce reduction. While I have 8 years in here and seniority on all but 2 other techs, I could see them wanting to keep on techs with diesel or EV or transmission certifications, plus I don't have kids or car payments or a house payment, soooo....

I want those in 15x9 for the MM, but last year I gave up on R-comps and so I don't need a second set of 9s.

I'm running the 15x9 Dial-Ins, just with 245-width Rival S 1.5s

In reply to dculberson :

Hey, I'm about to pick up an MR2 myself, and of course I'm looking at wheels. Well, actually, I started looking at tires, and realized that the tire selection in stock sizes sucked, so then I started looking at wheels. Anyway, I've been partial to the Enkei Classic line since I first saw them, but I've never owned a car that they were compatible with, so I was stoked to see that both the Compes and the Enkei92's fit. I'm leaning toward the Compes, because they come in 16", and also because on an MR2, they remind me of Panasports on a Porsche 914.

Anyway, they look good on your car! I saw another thread where you mention the wheel and tire sizes, but I have some other questions: How's the weight penalty? That might be my biggest concern with these - I sort of hate to go heavier than stock with an engine that's only putting out 138 HP and totally kill the feel of the car. I guess you must like them, since you've had them for a while. The only other question I have is are you on stock suspension? I'm trying to figure if fitment and stance will be okay out of the box, or if I'm going to have to go down the rabbit hole of suspension work...I think your set up looks great, so if all you did was slap new wheels and tires on, I'm sold.

I guess my only other complaint (besides weight) is the lack of color options. The car I'm looking at is Electric Green Mica with a tan top (love that combo!), and I wonder if like a matte bronze or gold would look better. But I guess the gunmetal would probably look good on everything.

Thanks!
