The guy is unsure what it is in the for sale ad but was told it's a Porsche motor that was used on a buggy. If it is 356 or 912 I am on it for the price. I just cannot tell from the pics:

Is it missing one carb on the left? Anymore pictures?

I dont think its a 356. No oil filter canister.

Only other pics were of the E36 M3ty Monza exhaust pipes. No added value.

I firmly dislike those exhausts but they were so damn common. My 914 currently sports (term used loosely) one.

EDIT: He's about an hour from me but my truck lacks an inspection sticker so just taking a drive there to check it out involves ticket risk.

That's a VW. The fuel pump is centrally located. On a 356, the fuel pump would be outboard of the distributor.

It s a. VW , look at the. Generator stand , 356-912 are at an angle,

interesting carb linkage , and you can see the bottom of the intake manifold sitting on the side

Thank you guys. I actually said something is wrong with the generator, but it's been a long time since I was hard into this stuff.

$150 I would have bought it for man room/shop art, but more likely put it in a Ghia for the wife.
