Back then you could get either manual or automatic transmissions in an Alpina. The registry shows several B10 4.6 Tourings were built with manuals. https://www.alpina-archive.com/?cat=406&nmt=e34-b10-46-touring

Wow, cool. I honestly thought Alpina went all auto in the early 90's.

Fun fact, a friend and business associate of my dads had an E21 323 based Alpina back in the early 80's that I thought was 'the tits' as a teen. I don't know Alpina nomenclature to be sure of the real title. HAd the classic multi spoke wheels and the cool side graphics.
