My son has a 96 full size Bronco with a 351. Starts on first turn, runs smoothly. Later it cranks and cranks and won't start. A couple hours later I go to check spark and it starts on first turn. Next day the same thing. No sputtering, runs smoothly.  How do you troubleshoot an intermittent problem? Any suggestions? Same experience?

I'm not normally a fan of firing the parts cannon but in this case I'd put a TFI module on it.  That's the single most common failure and they're pretty inexpensive.

Agreed, Tfi is always the starting point on Fords of this era.
