I need a pure-sine-wave, in-car, hard-wired inverter. Nothing fancy: two outlets, and enough power for a couple computers, so let's call it 200 watts.

Is there a Toyota Camry of inverters?

We have a renogy 1000w in our camper van. Two outlets. I see them in a lot of other rigs. It's been good for my needs. I can give more specs on my setup if that's helpful. Works and I see lots of them, so sounds like a Camry to me!

We have a Renogy 4000w in the RV & it's been great. Just note that while most inverters are rated at their startup/peak power, Renogy rates theirs at constant-use.

Maybe you're asking the wrong question: If these are just a couple of laptops you're powering, getting 12V DC-DC adapters for them removes any worries about sine waves and gives better efficiency.

I do believe you're correct: wrong question. It hadn't occurred to me to look into DC -- thanks.
