Having done a '62 Sprite MK2 of my own, and all the metal work of a very rusty Midget MK 1for someone else I'd offer that there are much better starting points available.

Note that clear daylight can be seen through the area where the bottom 8" of the rear fenders and inner fender/trunk floor closing panels/gas tank should be.

A couple hundred bucks, tops.

Needs a new home, but not at that price. I can't see anyone paying much of anything at all for that. What are those wheels? They don't look all that original to me, but I can't really see them clearly and am not an expert.

I think the factory that produces the tetanus vaccine could use it as a rust incubator.

Personally, if I had time and money, I'd consider it. For about the cost of scrap.$50- $150. One day I will have me a welder....

Looks like a less than even $120 bucks. A lot of mess for the money asked. You can get a rust free running car for $3,000.

I sold my '72 and '78 which where both in much better shape then that for $200.

Looks like the guy fatfingered a 2 at the same time as pressing 1. Personally I wouldn't touch the thing for anything above 1/4 of what they want for it. Like Andy said, you can get a running car in good shape for not much more than that.
