I'm wanting to know about adjusting the cam plates that adjust the camber and caster of a Miata. I want to know which side is the + side and which is the - side. Also, how do the increments go as far as degrees wise? There are notches on them and how exactly are those calibrated?

If you move the lower control arm out, you'll get more negative camber.

The increments are not actually calibrated. I believe they're just handy marks. If they were calibrated, they wouldn't be evenly spaced.

How do I move the lower control arms?

By turning the alignment cams. The correct direction of rotation will depend on which side of the car you're working on and/or if the cams are installed upside down or not.

If you take the cam bolts out and play with them, then it's fairly obvious how things work. (note that doing this will screw up the alignment -- theoretically you could mark it and put it back in the same spot, but I've never had much luck with doing that).

Which side said of said alignment cams are the negative side? I know one is positive and one the other is neagtive.
