I don't even know why I want an Element so much, but I do. There's so many quirky things about it.

Are the rear (plastic) quarter panels bolt on or are they glued or something? Might be a nice way to get a durable lifted van that will last a long time without succumbing to Honda tinworm as easily.

Bought one new and put over 100,000 miles on it with zero failures. Sold it and got a Fit Sport for my wife's shuttle car. The Fit gets almost twice the gas mileage but sure won't haul as much.

I know the high roof and clam-shell doors look a little strange. But they more than pay their way when loading or unloading! And the very short turning radius was hugely handy as well. If I was still working and needed to transport other things than groceries, I'd have kept the Element as a work truck.
