You can probably have the rims off my SL for 'streets' if you care to. They're some kind of oe mb 17s although I dont remember what from.

W140 cars run much higher offset wheel than a R129

It's been sitting because the owner passed. They needed to get rid of it so they put it up for free. I pounced. Supposedly it runs just needs a new battery, and some new gas probably help. But worse case scenario, it needs an engine or wiring harness. I have a complete 99 cl600 drivetrain lined up just in case! 

Car obviously needs a few things cosmetically as well. 

Either way im going to try to race it in the challenge. Then im going to restore it because ive always wanted one of these and they're my favorite mercedes ever.

Man... talk about being in the right place at the right time. The Challenge is gonna be epic. I dunno what the policy on entering in a free car, does the budget have to include a KBB value or somesuch, but even if it does you should get a red-carpet invite regardless. The joint could use the gravitas, the classing-up, you'll provide with this find...

PS years ago, a buddy of mine entered a *rallycross* once, in his S600. Well, this event is still celebrated in song and legend. The feller was quite proud of being able to take out the inside AND outside corner cones simultaneously. Gawd I wish I had pix....

I think the 'right place' was the internet because i'm pretty sure there's a couple thousand miles between car and new owner at the moment!
