Like it says up there, Where do you folks search online for used cars?

I've been to

AutoTrader.com,

carstory.com,

and

carguru.com

Are there any other sites I'm missing? I'm sort of limiting my search to the SouthEast quarter of the USA, if that matters.

I used Cargurus for my last purchase. I like how they take the selling price and tell you exactly how it compares to the national average. They also pull ads together from a bunch of other sources.

I find that for east of the Mississippi, anyway, Autotrader is the 900-lb gorilla. For better or worse they typically have far and away the most listings. I rarely find cars listed on other sites (except CL of course) that aren't also posted on Autotrader.

Cars.com is mostly dealer ads, so there's a lot of overlap with Autotrader, but sometimes there are some that slip through on one or the other. My other go-tos are Craigslist and eBay. And if I'm looking for something specific, forums are always a good bet.

CarGurus is my go to now, don't even bother w/ AutoTrader anymore. The market comparison is a great feature.

Thank You all. I was shocked by the sheer number of cars on carstory.com compared to autotrader.com, but I get the feeling that maybe most of them are not current. I emailed one, and we shall see if anything pans out. And yes, I like carguru.com, too. Of course, being relatively close to Atlanta, I search Craigslist daily. E-bay, meh.
