Rivian posted a cool video showing the different drive modes of the R1T. No music, just driving, a short description of major settings in each mode, and a torque distribution graphic. Kudos to their marketing dept.

Out of my price range, but the want is strong. I'm squarely in the midsize truck target demographic (occasional towing, hardware store runs, mountain bike and wet dog shuttle vehicle) and treat my frontier like a fat rally car (it fails). It's really cool to see them take advantage of the technology & quad motors for a more fun (read drift-y) driving experience for those that want it. I bet cruising through the woods w/ the windows down and no ICE noise is pretty nice too.

I attended an event they put on in Sonoma back in November and was really impressed with the fit and finish of the trucks.  I couldn't test drive one since I didn't place a reservation, but did get to do 2 ride alongs and this thing rips.  First run told the driver to send it and we were sliding uphill in the dirt in no time, truck felt very planted and stable.  Second time was just the "normal" run, but like you mention just cruising around the trail was still fun.

I love these things. I priced one out the way I'd want it and it's about 10x my most expensive car at the moment. Ahh well they're still cool.

OK now do a minivan with 50% of that capability and 50% of the price and I am in line.

Those are so cool and really the first EV that interests me enough to actually buy one.  The only issue is they are priced way out of my reach.

Whew, I didn't even play with the configurator after looking at the starting price!

I live in the town where they build these. They are finally delivering a bunch of them. I see 2-3 a day. I like them a lot but I hate the headlight design.

I just watched the TFL hill climb video and was impressed at how it could accelerate up a hill pulling 8500 pounds faster than an empty V8 Ram.

I'm a fan as well. Love the ground clearance on demand feature. Not sure about the gear tunnel though.

Hmmm. 100k in 2022, so....15k in 2032 with 150k on the clock and 3+ owners? I might be able to afford one then. Shame, it's pretty much what I want in regards to a daily.
