Well, the 944 has box flares and is a shooting brake. It's a bit ungainly, though. Most of these are. The XJS actually seems to be the best conversion.

Apparently nicknamed the "Elanbulance". Two were made, and here they are.

This one almost works.

"Dear, I think the rear of your Jaguar is melting"

Does anyone see a Pinto? Or a Vega, I forget which. But that C pillar is saying something to me.

And modern car designers haven't forgotten what they are, but I don't know if starting with a stumpy car is a recipe for success.

I have to agree the original M Coupe fits the definition well, though.

BTW, that MGB GT was Grampian Grey, which my brain insists on calling "Grandpa Grey". It is a really nice color, plays up the details of the GT nicely.

They were way overpriced new, and too E36 M3ty of a car underneath. Ford really screwed-up with the X-type.

That was one of the first movies we rented off Netflix just because of that Jag hearse. It was a pretty good movie too.

In googling for a picture of one of my all time favorite car designs (Lamborghini Espada), I stumbled on the following website:

Lots of examples there. Espada's still my favorite, but I see it as a mixture of flatback, fastback and shooting brake.

Both the red car Keith posted, and the b&w car are '64 1/2 - '66 Mustangs.Looking at the grill of the red one, I believe that it's a '65.
