If it makes you feel any better, I didn't have my shop when I was your age either. Come to think of it, I'd gladly trade my shop to be 40 again!

It doesn't make me feel any better ;) I get by fine. Plenty of friends with shops and the like. I mostly just crave being able to start a project, and be able to hammer out 30 minute projects nightly. Really hoping to pull the trigger on building a garage this spring.

Ok, front...the truck is to long to fit in (when it's assembled) so it's being worked on outside.

 photo 1410298773_zps7c61078d.jpg

Actual inside, normally cleaner but moving tools to the front to work on the truck is silly so I leave them all sitting there photo 1410298779_zpsa19c5021.jpg

This is my barn, right now it has horrible lighting so I use it for storing whatever I'm going to work on next. Nice to have space for ten junk cars... photo 1410298786_zps9c02faf4.jpg

Figure I'll get into the action.

It's been a while since the garage has been cleaned out but here you go.

When the sides of the garage are clean I can squeeze my Cobalt in there as well.

'99 Mercury Water Mouse, used to be rentals at the lake around Disney in Fla.

Took the 9.9 hp engine out and switched to a 15 with stainless steel prop.

Would like to find a 25hp Mercury 2 stroke (lightest weight 25hp motor) for it but all the ones I've come across with remote steering and throttle cost more then I feel like throwing into it right now.

Fun little toy and fast for it's size as long as you keep people weight below 250 lbs. My daughter and I have quite a bit of fun with it.

Here is the current one (only pic I have). Its a detatched 2.5 car unit at the rental Im living in. Thats the owners '72 with a 492, turbo 400, B&M shifter and LSD (it'll scoot!). Its pretty bare bones for a garage, and very little of my stuff is actually in there, but its pretty nice to have all that space to wrench in if you roll the Pickup out. Drywall is going to come down soon, and Im gonna help insulate and drywall properly with a vaulted ceiling which will make room for a rolling gantry and also build in some sturdy workbenches...will be a lot of fun! I will probably start a thread once we commence.

I dont have any photos, but we are building a 24x24 unit on our new house with 11' ceilings...high enough for a lift! Drywall is going in this week, so I will snap some pics. We also plan to build a detatched 2 car as a separate workshop for he eventual split bumper Camaro and 79 Cutlass I want to build...but that wont be for a few years at best ...

So you're the one who bought Jim's Miata. I helped him work on that car a few Saturdays. He did a great job with that car.

The Atomic Hairball R&D Center...

2400 sq-ft, separated into two halves, with upper storage. Started renting it a couple years ago, but worked a deal with the owner to where I will own the property in just under three years.

The first thing to be moved in was the "Hairball". Seemed like so much space back then... photo IMG_20130909_154138_671_zpsb2d4b986.jpg photo IMG_20130331_174649_822_zps80d48969.jpg

Then the x1/9 happened.. photo IMG_20131006_164221_489_zps3952f38a.jpg

And then an rx7 materialized.. photo IMG_20140413_182616_585_zps7iay9rln.jpg

Things are a bit tight currently. I just need to find enough time to knock half the wall down, and move the FIAT to the empty half of the building.

Here is my humble garage, small but it has a concrete floor and a 100 amp service. I had dirt floor and a 15 amp power before but a lot more room.

It is really messy with a lot of new to me tools I have no place for yet. Winter is coming so we need to get both cars inside soon.

Yeah it is my "happy place" most of the time. Actually use to be my grandfather's shop but I inherited their place when they died. I spent many hours out there growing up. I need to reorganize a bit and move the Cutlass over to about where I was standing when I took that picture so I can pull the Charger in over winter. There is quite a bit more to the shop but that is my main work space.

The boys LOVE going out there with me. I can be out there working away and they just come out and chill. Loki just about always lays next to the driver side door of the Cutlass however if the door is open he gets in.
