...to autocross!! I finally got out to my very first autocross event today, and now I know first-hand why you guys are so hooked!
I had a blast running at Pungo Airfield with the Old Dominion Region of the SCCA-everyone was very professional, it all ran smoothly, and it was a great first experience. I wasn't sure how much to expect from myself or the Max at my first showing, but I was glad that I improved my time each of the 5 runs, and the Maxima ran flawlessly (even rocked the A/C between runs to cool off a bit-it was REALLY hot today). I didn't bother checking tire pressures or anything, I just wanted to focus on staying on course, getting on the gas more, and not hitting any cones. I think I finished mid pack out of 60 cars, so I feel like it was a successful 1st event.
I ran my buddy's GoPro, so hopefully I can post a video once he sends them to me. This will definitely not be my last auto-x!
