2011 Ford Taurus LTD AWD 170k miles.

So my daily driver, right after slapping some new sneakers on her, decided to start bucking a little in reverse. No other issues whatsoever. I'm no transmission guy other than swapping a clutch or other basics. She's well overdue for a transmission fluid change, which I never do on my other vehicles.

Since I'm well behind on the change, any extra steps, or things to avoid? I drive 120 miles a days round trip for work, and don't need to start driving my fuel whore of a pickup truck.

My WAG is transmission/engine mounts are starting to go.

Didn't consider mounts as part of the equation. I'll get down there and take a look. I know the transfer case puked on it a year back. Changed the oil in that a few times including last weekend, so it had some 75w-140 dripping into one of the mounts just the other day. Not a fun task.

Nah. Low on fluid. Now we're leak hunting...

And now we're transmission hunting. Sounds like a clutch busted.
