Someone tell me this thing is a weekend and a 10mm away from glory.
Otherwise we can move it to the $2015 thread.

It's really good that I'm about 600 miles away from it. Yep, maybe a 10mm and a 12mm if you do a B20 swap out of a 88-91 Prelude. Or break out the toolbox and swap an H22 from a 92-96 Prelude.
Fantastic cars. They are hard on ball joints but they are cheap and easy to do. Look for rust around the gas filler neck, rockers, and rear wheel wells. If no rust then buy it.
I've always loved these things, the coupes too. Never owned one though, so I'm no help. What is the stock engine? Gotta be the the best looking hubcaps ever, haha, they actually do make it look pretty sweet!
Tell me more about how to accomplish a B20 swap, and also why it would be better than just buying a Prelude.
AFAIC the '93 coupe was the awesomes Accord body style, but I did have an '88 coupe and liked it a lot
plus I've always liked the hatchbacks better than the sedans
So Google is telling me that this trim level Accord has the fuel injected 120 HP A20 engine, and that swaps are hard.
So now, Honda folk, what can I do with the A20 to fix it? Is there a drop in type thing available?

Had that same car as an 89. It's practical as hell and the A20 makes is scoot a bit faster than you'd think. It's the LX-I so it'll be fuel injected, F/R double wishbone suspension, F/R disk breaks, power windows, and looks like it has a somewhat rare arm rest option.
From the add: " smokes and ticks."
Reminded me of my now deceased grandpa.
I like that body style. If not rusty seems worth getting and bringing back to life.
I am thinking that 120HP is fine too
The question now becomes: How can I fix a potential rod or whatever on the cheap?
120hp is fine. They are light, tossable, comfortable, and more fun than they have any right to be. Here is the one I owned about 12 years ago:
Also, if you're going into a rebuild and decide you'd like a bit more, they are cast iron blocks that hold up to a few pounds of boost just fine.
That was my thought. Valve job, ring and bearings if you have to. D series seemed to respond well to this.
Preludes are kinda tough to find these days in decent shape. That accord will need some fresher seats. Those look like they got squashed. The stock engine is pretty fun actually. Throw a cheap turbo setup at it to add power if you need more.
In reply to sethmeister4:
You don't know Tunawife very well!
Anyway, if it needs a head or something I can handle that, or at least afford to outsource it. The seats are likewise pretty fixable. I can't stand the red interior, but for $600, I can dye it.
I E-mailed the guy but got no answer. I'll try calling if I get a change tonight.
