Post the best tires you have ever had for the cheapest price. I’d like to see where this goes.

Here’s the rules:

  • Would be a tire you’d recommend
  • Has to still be in production
  • Bought within the last 6 years
  • Tire Size
  • No Sales
  • No Rebates
  • Can be for Car, Truck, Motorcycle, Race Car
  • Friends and Family Discount OK
  • Doesn’t have to include tire dealer’s extra costs (i.e. Balancing, Warranty, etc)

I’ll start:

Laufenn X-Fit AT E Load 265/70R17

$132 each at Dealer Cost

Got 92,000 miles out of them before they were no longer DOT compliant.

2015 GT Champiro UHP

225/40/18

$344 delivered from discount tire

Was a local AutoX that I typically top pax'd.  But still took top pax in light rain on them in a GS MS3

Car was sold when I only had 20k on those tires but still plenty of tread

Goodyear Wrangler 235-75r15. Got them at walmart for $43 a piece many years ago and ran them for 10 years as my summer tire, not sure how much was on those particular tire but i chalked up 110k in that time, I replaced them because i ran over a bolt and replaced all 4 because it was on a 4wd explorer.

Gave 2 to my dad who has run them on his e150 for 2 years, The replacements cost me $67 2 years ago

Sailun Atrezzo SVA1 in 235/40r17

I paid ~70 installed at Midas with road hazard. They've been great on my "hot hatch." I replaced $125 BFG Sport Comp 2s that were wearing funny. The Sailun tires are quiet for their class of tire, wear even, grip well in the dry and wet and have held up like you'd expect a 320TW tire.

Federal 595 super steel 275/40/17

400 out the door from Freeman tire. Good autocross, 25k life, and fairly quiet over life. And that was beating the E36 M3 outta them on a pro touring 64 el Camino with 3 degrees negative camber and an 1/8 of toe out. They probably would have lived longer without massive burnouts on a regular basis.

I've got the SS595 on one end of my BMW. I paid 64 per corner and am very pleased with them. Grippy and quiet and wear well.

Federal 595 RSRR

Available in most popular track car sizes.  I have tried 205/15, 235/17, and 265/18.

Prices range from $90 delivered to $135 delivered for the bigger ones

It says 200 treadwear but I believe they're even stickier.  Not a street tire.

It's on par with the good name-brand R-comps out there for autocross and HPDE duty, including the Nitto NT-01.

If you need something closer to an outright race tire, but still not a genuine slick, try Federal FZ-201, which is beating the NT-01 thus far after a few track days on my heavy-ass E92 M3.

Hm, I've had the same tires on my Integra which I paid 70 shipped for and I'd say they were about where a 200TW tire would be. Absolutely horrible in the rain though.
