How do I find one of those, and what's the recipe to build one just like that? I think what I like the most are the narrow/tall tires and otherwise simple exterior.

I'm usually not a fan of fuel sucking lifted trucks, but that is sweet enough to justify.

Mine.

It's a 1976 K25, that's code for 3/4 ton, 4x4 GMC. I'm putting together an L81 496ci engine for it. Looking forward to 400 ft/lbs of torque at 1000 RPM.

Thanks 914, but thats not my truck. I just hot linked it from hooniverse. The dog isn't mine either, BTW. Mine is the first truck in this thread.

Those tires seem to have a very tall sidewall.

I don't have a picture, but the Gubbyment used to stockpile old vehicles here at work and then auction them off. Buddy of mine bought an '81 Dodge full size pickup, 4 door, 8ft. box, slant six, stick for $1000.

Very cool, difficult to park.

Yea, I figured (cool, old & heavy(3 out of 4)) were close enough for the old girl.

Do want.

My grandpa had one like that, with a PTO winch. My dad and all his siblings learned to drive in it. Had been sitting since the 80s due to the cab being to rusty to use. He sold it to scrappers without consulting any of the family.
