Dear GRM, I never thought it could happen to me...

The ABS light came on in my Volvo today when I started it in the morning.  Hmm.  Putzing down the road, I saw from a distance what looked like the back of a bluish light gray E28 or something poking off to the side of the truck behind it at a red light.  Could only see the left third of it.

Approached closer... there's a badge over the taillight, and it is a two door.

Approached close enough to read the badge....  MASERATI

Came to a stop just behind it, able to see the BITURBO badge on the right side.

Just as I came to a stop and started reaching for my Samsung, the light turned green and he was off down the intersecting road.

The first Biturbo I ever see, and it was running and looked immaculate....  And like Bigfoot, I could not get a picture.

But I blame its cosmic presence on why my car decided to throw a hard ABS fault unannounced.

The BiTurbo is so evil it throws codes on other cars?

Only the later injected cars do that to surrounding traffic. The carb cars can't be persuaded onto the road long enough to have the effect.

I spotted this guy on my way home today.

He was zipping along pretty well, I was abit surprised how hard it would pull.

His ride did not really end in a carefee fun manner...This was about 5 miles down the road:

These all this week:

'63 split-window vette

A 911 in Gulf livery

Hyundai Galloper with hi-top roof. This is the Korean-built version on the original Mitsubishi Montero (but built about a decade later). You can tell by the extra lights in the bumper that this is the Hyundai version (never sold in the US). This one had big faded National Geographic logos on the doors, which was apparently a trendy decoration for 4x4s in Korea back in the 90s.

Side note: it's cool that Hyundai built these until the early 2000s. They share 98% of the parts with an 80s Montero (and my Dodge Raider), so you can order a lot of NLA (from Mitsubishi/Dodge) parts from Hyundai dealers for your Monty/Raider.

I grew up with a '63 split window. I remember my PSU professor step-dad turning sixteen and doing a burn out in front of our house in it. Holy crap my mom was mad haha. 327/4spd car. Damn it was cool and remains my favorite American car to this day.

An almost bone stock Evo. I can't remember the last time I saw an Evo in the wild period.

Some recent sightings. Supercars aren't too uncommon near the city, but here's an uncommon model at a local autocross. We traded positions a few times but he got me by 0.2sec in the end:

Chased this for about 8 miles this morning to get pics. He knows the roads well too, so big fun was had before we met. Devin -Triumph that persons unknown have done serious custom bodywork on. Looks very well done, and the driver is proprietor of a well respected local Brit car resto shop.

What is up with Nissan and naming vehicles ending with A's??  Stanza, Ultima, Armada, Maxima, Xterra.  Maybe it creates a sense of calmness. "Ahhh... it's all done".  :0)
