I bought my house and in the barn I found a 1959 348 Nomad. Never knew that Chevy used the name after 55-57 but there it was. Biscayne based then? I have no clue, but it was a 4 door land yaught. Wish I could have kept it for a parts hauler.

I think '59 would be Imapala but not sure. I'd have to ask my dad as late 50s/early 60s is his domain :) but yeah, Chevrolet used the Nomad name for quite a few years well into the 60s.

We stopped at an RV park in Wilsonville, Oregon next to a very large, expensive motor coach.  This was parked in front.

Can a tow pig be a unicorn?

You decide.

And this tow vehicle will never be called a pig. Ever.

1 ton Chevy chassis, small block Chevy power, custom rear end work, stretched bed.

I didn't get a picture of the inside but it was as nice as the outside. The guys driving were pretty cool about pics, but they were on a schedule so I tried to be brief and not drool on it.

And yes I chased it down.

And what do you deliver with a really cool Studebaker Tow vehicle?

What else? A Studebaker hot rod! laugh With laker pipes.

Oh and few weeks ago we saw this blow past us and it was RHD:

Pyro was running 80-90 just to get this grainy image. Then we dropped speed to avoid the ticket.

Nice!  On a previous trip, we got the ferry into Nanaimo, but never made it quite to your stomping grounds.

You live in a beautiful area.

I found this last night, it's two blocks from where I bought my last 2.3 16v which was sitting much like this for ten years. I did not knock on the door

There is a beautiful red FD on one of my road test loops that is parked outside.  If they don't put it in the garage it will get chalky and gross like that one within another year.

Saw this very nice Bricklin at the Home Depot yesterday. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner, because he was going a different direction than I was. I haven't seen one of these since the '80s and never one moving under its own power. Back in the 80s, there was a shop in Raleigh that had three red ones in the back lot in various stages of decomposition.
