Well it looks like summer is finally here. We got beat up here pretty bad here in Michigan over the winter as did many parts of the nation. Finally got the Miata and the bikes out of storage and if feels so good until.................the idiot with the bleepin' sprinklers on in the middle of the day with the one sprinkler head shooting out over the road that you are forced to ride through and get wet. I bitch about this every year so I will leave it at that. Don't people think?
I don't know what the weather is like up there but I bet the last thing the dirt needs after this wet winter is more water.
Most people who water their lawns don't think, at least not like that.

Just had an additional 2" of rain last week just for good measure. The ground is still soggy.
Here's how I look at it: The more I water, the more I mow. The more I mow, the less I work on my projects. So I spend more money on my water bill so I can spend less time AND money on my projects? No thanks, I'll let it turn brown
I love how the sprinkler system at work kicks on everyday to ensure my freshly washed car get its share of water spots. Nowhere else to park

Most places with commercial sprinklers have them set on a timer. Most places also water at night so as to lose less to evaporation in the mid day sun and to a lesser extent to keep from pissing off emplyees due to water spots, wet clothes, etc.
Check what time the sprinklers go off. I bet it's like 10am or something similar. Which probably means the timer was mistakenly set to AM instead of PM. Have you pointed this out to the building manager? You might be surprised and get yourself a dry car if you do.
I like it when the sprinklers are on and it is raining
Here in Nevada, nobody wants to admit that they live in the desert, and run a very heavy sprinkler system (including the state-funded plants in the medians of roads) to make the desert bend to their requirements of a green lawn.
I drive a convertible, and consistantly get watered on my way home from work.
Michigan? This year, we're a sixth Great Lake that only shows up as green on maps because they took the photos last year.
we got these things everywhere

How about a 5 gal bucket placed upside down over the sprinkler head nearest your parking spot? Just keep it in your trunk and put it there each morning.
My rant for the season is that I remember that I'm half ginger when the sun comes out

I get this at the gym I use. I get up there usually around 8:00 pm after work just about the time the sprinkler system has kicked in. There are many zones so I sort of have the pattern down and know where to park to avoid getting wet but I have been caught out and come out to my car getting pounded by the sprinkler and you have to make a mad dash to get in the car. I have complained to the gym and they claim everything is set by corporate somewhere else in another state. Doesn't it seem logical to the run the sprinkler system at night and not during one of the heaviest member use times? Duh!!
