One of the problems with working on Frankenstein cars is that the builders sometimes forget what they sourced parts from. My Exo-T uses a  steering rack with the following information:

TRW

MDA 01 32 960

810

Any idea how to find what that came off of? So far my Google Fu has been inadequate.

Do you have any idea what the part may have come from?

"Some small Ford?"

The rack body is 22 1/2" wide. The track width is close to a Miata.

Pinto/Mustang II mount the rack on studs like Fox-bodies.  Well, the other way around...

Besides, that appears to be a rear-steer rack.  The only rear steer racks I'm aware of that mounted by clampy bushings like that are some Mitsubishis.  (Maybe some Mazdas?  Mazda mounted front-steer racks by clampy bushings)

The search continues!

You may be on to something there! Rather than just replace the torn boots, I may depower a replacement one  for the quicker steering.
