It's the same company that made a 3.6l V8 based off of the 16v Golf/Scirocco engine.... and then stretched the bore spacing to 92mm so they could enlarge the engine to 4.2l, while keeping the heads at 88mm bore spacing, including the head bolt pattern.

Triangular wheels are never good.

I think the problem is that they put it on a car that wasn't weird enough. Throw those on a Subaru XT, and they'd be about perfect.

No. My OCD hates these, 4 lugs = 4 spokes. Only the 2CV could get away with a 3-spoke wheel, and it used solid wheels.

Any wheel that has directional spokes, where the spokes point towards the front of the car on one side, but towards the rear of the car on the other side. This is also surprisingly common.

The 1st gen FRS/BRZ wheels really do the rest of the car a disservice, and honestly MK4 Supra wheels were pretty bad too. I hope this thread spurs a "best factory wheels" conversation, because this is something I think about a lot..

I actually like the MK4 supra wheels on the MK3 Supra lol.

For ugliest factory wheel, I'd say most modern Honda wheels are really ugly.

I won't say that these are especially ugly, but back in high school, my friends and I used to refer to these as simply "Those Wheels".

Some variation of this wheel was on the base version (or better) of almost every GM car.  Chevys, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs all had them, although I don't remember if any Buicks had them. All the Cadillacs had wire wheel covers or  full hubcaps. But they were on both front and rear wheel drive cars from the other divisions.

I think Mazda also had a valid case for 3 spoke wheels on rotary cars. But even with that said, 3 spoke wheels are an abomination and there's no way around it.

The blown apex seals on those wheels is a nice Easter egg though..

Ugh...

I know exactly what the turn signal switch in each of those cars feels like and it makes me cringe.

Who in GM corporate felt the tactile awfulness of that switch and said "that's it! Put it in every car!"
