MK4 VW Jetta TDI wagon with a manual.

Since I bought one new, I have to agree here.  I sold it when it no longer met my needs, but in general ownership was an enjoyable experience. Plus, pretty much any Mk IV Jetta or Golf with a manual trans.

Citroen 2CV!  But only if I installed a period tape deck and played Edith Piaf  tapes while I drove it!

My whole family loved the Jetta TDI Cup we had until it went back home to the Power of German Lies. All the upside of a GLI/GTI, but slower so should be uninspiring. But handled great, stopped well, comfy sport seats, good hvac, and all the torques you can eat.

I thought about adding the panther platform cars to this discussion. Until I got active on the GRM forum, I thought I was the only weirdo that liked them.
forgive me for posting this picture again, it just makes me happy. This was my first one of three.

I'd love to have a 88 accord LX-i like the one I put about a million miles on through hs/college.

Not sure if unpopular or not, but I've lusted over a 1st gen Accord Sedan for a long time now.  Dog slow econobox, but I just love the way it looks.

Must have been a loooooong exposure to make a 2cv look that fast.

1st gen S-10 with a 2.8 and 5 speed.

I would want to build a 3.4 for it though.

Looks like a lot of these answers are tied to some of the first cars we've owned. Thats OK, most of us didn't get to start with an exciting car, haveing a car was exciting and we want to feel that again.

It doesnt have to be fast to be fun!

I have a weird soft spot for the 3800, especially the supercharged version. I'd rock a late 90s GTP in a heartbeat

1986 Civic SI. Appliance white, practical and fuel efficient, looked boring but all the performance of my CRX but never got harassed by "the man" like I was in a bright red CRX SI. Darn thing would not die either, sold it with 230K on it and the next owner drove it over 300K last time I talked with him. Car was truly just gas, oil, tires and brakes for over 140k miles while I had it. Best commuter car ever!

Had one in high school.  Accidently raced a mid 90s Camaro (no idea what engine) because he thought I was racing him from a green light.  We were even through 2nd and then I obliterated him once I hit 3rd.

My wife's 05 Five Hundred was a sweet car.  My FIL's old Cadillac DTS was an amazing highway cruiser.  The Fiesta I've been driving lately has been pretty fun in spite of the slushbox.
