40 for me, 41 for my wife- both can be put together via important dates to us.

I run 65, my wife and two daughter's birth dates added together because without their support and understanding I wouldn't be able go to track days.

5 or 46.  46 because of John Morton when I had aSentra SE-R (also ran it the only year I ran at nationals in a friend's EM rotary X1/9), 5 for Nigel Mansell, Mario, and many other winners that I liked using that number, the list would be long.

50. Because that was my high school football jersey number. And because of that number I have gone on to live my life according to 50-50 odds for everything. Either it works out for me or it doesn't. Thus, the number 50 is my number on the racing battlefield, as well as my odds of going home happy

523 or 23. Recurring numbers in my life. At one point in college a buddy and I lived at 523 Butler st and both drove Honda accords that had tags ending in 523. The cars were tagged in our Home Counties on opposite ends of the state. He moved there with his car, I bought mine while living there.

523 was mine too. Started using it when I was autoxing a Sentra. In Japanese:

5=go

2=ni

3=san

I like two, it was my first sports number in 1st grade.  I wore 2, 12, 21, 22, 26, and 82 in sports.  For racing I like 72 because not many people choose 70 anything.

I should add that I'm considering switching to 46, as you get a lot more space on track.

My first car was a used 1/4 midget I bought in the late 60's with lawn mowing money. Continental engine, direct drive. It had the #14 on it and an AJ Foyt paint job (although I didn't realize the AJ thing for many years).  So I just kept using that # for most things. LSR events require the # they give the car so no options there.

25too or 252

I was born on the 25th of March. My high school football and baseball number was 25. And I was married on the 25th. My first dirt track race car was #25. When I moved up a class, 25 was already taken, they said I could add a letter, so I added the "too". Because I was #25 also. I was too stubborn to change it to something else. When we ran the ChampCar race 25 was taken so I chose 252.

#244

When I was growing up life was kinda E36 M3 for me. My parents always fought because my mother is actually insane. My father finally got sole custody and moved us to this nice little house out in the country. It was the first time in my life there was any sense of stability or peace in my life

The house number was 244. The last 3 digits of our phone number were 244. I grew up and life got hectic again, but anytime I see that number it reminds me of those handful of years when everything was just ok, and that's the feeling I want to have when I'm racing.

77

My fave number is 7. I was born on the 7th. A single 7 is almost always taken so I went with 77 when joining COMSCC.

For most of my motorsports life I ran 44, since it's the number I used for sports in high school (so for autocross, rallycross, and some track stuff). Our Chump/AER car is number 444 as well (but Jim chose that number, much to my delight).

For ARA Rally, you can pick your numbers, but only if they are available since everyone basically can keep them "for life" as long as they rally every couple years....44 is "retired" and 444 is taken by someone who's been around longer than I have, so I run 424.

Which is kind of funny, since 423, 244, and 243 are all being run by other e30s. So i guess all the e30 rally drivers have the same taste in numbers lol.

When my wife started driving the car as well, I started using our anniversary, May 17th (517).  This year will be our 25th...

A side benefit is that no one has ever shown up with the same number.
