To be fair, MP3 was the actual name of that car.... and it had an MP3 player in it, which was kind of unusual at the time, since the only people who used MP3s had downloaded them on Napster.

Two of our longest tenure employees use this all the time.  One sometimes wants to say “it’s a moot point” but he always says “it’s a mute point” and one of our salesmen gets nutty and pokes fun at it.

I'm guilty of that and I can't break it.

Also an engineer.  In fact, I'm the manager of the engineering department.. .  I hate it and can't seem to fix it!  Arghhh!

There was an engineer I worked with in the past that would say metrics-is when he was trying to talk about the plural of a metric.  Drove me crazy.

There are tons of construction words like that...

”Sheating” instead of “sheathing”, “footer” instead of “footing”, “rafter” instead of “truss”,  “stud” for every wood member in the house... the list goes on!

Well, I'll probably continue to think of you as a guy with an afro, but, in the a spirit of full transparency, I will say it is one of those rainbow colored afro wigs, so there is that.laugh

Sorta like this, just not on a Mr Stinky Stig.

They are Fake Trucks, or Frucks for short.

You still have to buy them. Nobody gives any Frucks, these days.

But why can’t they be Trakes?

That’s because engineers only know how to tell people to do things, not actually do them in the field cheeky

Rafters are constructed on site and trussed are prefabbed. At least around here.

What if my doorways have manifolds because headers tend to leak?
