Thanks for the offer, but I'm down here below the Mason-Dixon. This time last year I did a one-day round trip to Albany for an M20B25 and harness. It was a great motor, but I learned I'm now too old to comfortably pull that drivetime off solo.
T5s from Craigslist sellers -- message received: don't pay more than the core charge for a rebuild, because that's what I'm most likely to get. Though for what I see the 5.0 bell housings going for on EBay, it might be the market price just for the housing.
Thanks for the tip about the GT trannys. Speedo? I don't need no stinkin speedo. I just need to know how close I am to redline. My current track car is the same sitch -- I need a tranny speedo pickup, but I have a Getrag 260 in there now, so I just pace corner entry by feel, gear used, and RPM. Plus I drive so bad it doesn't matter that much . . . .
