I've been following this thread for some time now and am very inspired. I've been in the subaru game for a while now so i have tons of ej25 parts and plan on planting it into my 912. I was wondering if you would make and sell the engine mounts to me?

Car looks pretty sweet. A cross manufacturer engine swap like this is on my bucket list.

A guy from AZ posted pics of a similar conversion he's doing. It's a Boxster chassis and I believe he's doing the work for a customer. It's getting caged and such as well.

Continued luck on your car, I think everyone here understands the immense amount of work you've put into the car.

Underbody shot of motor. Motor placement. Picture of roof scoop for radiator.

Glad to see it runs and drives! I'm curious: how did you come by the Subie to Porsche adapter plate?

My understanding is that its the same one sand-rail guys use to hook a Subaru motor to their VW transmission.

Wow--I haven't checked back into this thread in ages.

It turned out GORGEOUS!!!

I love the stance and the front airdam. Just killer. Great work.

The JDYAM front bumper is just icing on the cake with this build.

Fantastic! The finished product looks amazing. The stance and front airdam are indeed rad.

Nice SPG, too. What are those wheels? Any major mechanical modifications?

The Stance on the Porsche turned out well. When I set it up it was way to low (but looked good). When I left for Afghanistan I left it with my friend Mike at Protech Motor Sports for alignment and corner balancing. He said “why not do it all one time”, so the job turned into; Turbo tie-rods, bumpsteer spacers, Bilsteins, torsion bars, and bushings. He raised the car bit, but the shocks and bars really keep it off the bump stops now. The low height is totally workable on the street. Now its just the bumper I have to worry about.

Ya, I love the SPG, but it has more than ten years of my life in it. It runs tuned Volvo engine management and a GT28 BB turbo. These days I keep the boost turned down and hope nothing falls off. It was at the paint shop for well over a year.

needz moar GRM Stikerzzz!!!

Aside from that though, shes nearly perfect! Stance, color, bumper, wheels, its all top notch!!! Personally, for driveability, Id install some side mirrors. They look goofy on CRXs, but on this, a set of those generic F1 style side mirrors would be the business!

Any sporting pretensions? Will this thing get flung in anger against the clock? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

This build is epic, and I love the finished product! However, does it make me a bad person that I like the look of the SPG more? There's just something about those cars that tugs at my heart like torque steer tugging at the steering wheel.

As someone who's completed the 944/LSX conversion, the typical repsonses I've been receiving from Porschedom has been very positive (contrary to belief). I wish you luck on your project. If a conversion saves a classic from the crusher, I say go for it!

In reply to 4cylndrfury:

You and I think alike. I have real carbon side mirrors for the car. I hate the stock Flag mirrors. I've had the mirrors since the start of the project. I must have been feeling rich the day I ordered those bad boys.

I have more pics I want to post, but the network here does not like Photobucket. I will try again tonight.

That Porsche is just begging for an American V8. There are a number of sites that talk about the V8 conversion for a 911 Talk about kick ass..

Yeah - I really caught it from the wife when I painted. Now after 6 years, I can use it again!

the 944 is BAD A$$ How much more did the wheels and tires cost than the car? 3 or 4 times I am sure. Very cool.
