Well I done did it now. I spilt oil on the driveway during an oil change the other day and made a mess. I tried to sop it up with paper towels and then scrub with dish and laundry detergent. That didn't work. Next I tried wd40 then water, still stained.
What will really work? Rent a pressure washer or just try simple green? What would you do, GRM?
Buy the cheap non-clumping cat litter, throw a copious amount on the stain, grind it in with your shoes and leave it for a few days.

Just did this at my new house. Brake cleaner and lots of paper towels. Do one small area at a time.

After all this, there may be a small amount that will stubbornly be there. cover that in baking soda and leave it. let the rain wash it away.

Did this at my parents’ house a few years ago. I bought a commercial concrete detergent from Home Depot. Pour it on. Let it soak. Then hose off. I had to repeat it 2-3 times, but it eventually cleared completely.
As far as I know, there was nothing really special about the concrete cleaner. Looked, smelled, and felt just like dish soap.

Gunk brand used to sell a powder you sprinkled on then wetted it would go from Yellow to Bright green looked like anti-freeze scrub with a stiff bush ( like those used for sealing pavment) and hose off. We used to clean the shop bays at the Mobil I worked in every sunday. Looks like it is /was Gunk SW2 Swab
Stick some absorbent mat over it and drench it with boiling water. The mat will keep the water there, and oil floats on water...
Crazy but works.

Ahh, the good old yellow powder. It may have made you wonder about your life expectancy after you breathed a little of the odor coming off it, but damn if it doesn't clean concrete!
Concrete is pourous, it depends of how well finished it is but ive had luck with kitty litter

That is the reason we stock a white version at work now. It just turns milky white instead of green.
