Know your roots: Three Detroit brothers who came so close to turning the rock world upside-down in 1975.

In reply to Appleseed :

That whole album is just stellar. And to think it almost never saw the light of day....

And a modern recording of something from that album.

Last time we were up in Burlington, VT, we picked up the latest Rough Francis album on vinyl. Very much carrying on the tradition.

Kinda some sub-hum-ans old punk sound. I'll be giving them a listen.

Politicians In My Eyes gets regular play on my spotify playlists. I'll have to watch the video sometime.

When I first saw the title I thought you were talking about Chuck Schuldiner's band Death.

When I watched the movie I was sure this was some kind of fake documentary on a made up band, it just seemed so unlikely how the singer's son just happened to be at a party in California where someone just happened to play a song from a record they found at a thrift store and the son recognizes his dads and uncles' voices, never having known they had a punk band at one point (or something like that, it's been a while) and that was how they were rediscovered. But it is a true story, and they do kick ass.

That's my favorite part:

"Dad!!! How come you never told us!?"

"Well, here we go."
