Has anybody mentioned that .357s take 38 special?

And I think there is a super Redhawk that takes 45 colt and 45 acp with moon clips

If you are even considering a short barrel revolver in 357 Magnum, take a look at the Ruger LCR in 327 Federal Magnum. Yep, 327. Ballistics are really good with similar muzzle energy, 40% less recoil, wheel guns hold 6 vs 5 rounds and they can also shoot 32ACP, 32 S&W, 32 S&W long and 32 H&R Magnum.

Just another option.

My EDC piece.

Short barrel is right out. I have a 2" 9mm to cover any carry situations. Looking for something with range.
In related news, my guy said that vaquero was a bit rough for the asking price. So the eyes are still open.

I am aware. That's a big part of why I've decided on the 357. 38s is cheap. Cheaper than 9 these days.

Cowboy gun in 45LC is next on my list. Many cool and stylish offerings on the market and they are surprisingly accurate!

Just wanted to post a picture of my new toy. 450 Bushmaster upper. Unfortunately 14.5 inch barrel so I'll have to get the brake pinned and welded so I can build it as a rifle.

45 LC is a real challenge to find and stupid expensive now.   I'm not shooting my 45LC lever much based on that.

There are Vaquero versions that sell with a 45 LC and 45 Auto cylinder too.

Anybody here shoot .22-250, .454 Casull, or .270 WSM (Winchester Short Magnum as opposed to regular .270 Winchester)?

Would he be interested in these for the GRM price of  $25 plus shipping?

Glad this popped up again today. Lately I've been rather obsessed with 7.62x39. I have access to an sks. Gonna try it out. Anything I should know?

Decent gun in that they send a bullet down range.  Don't expect anything amazing.  You're smarter than the target end user for that gun 78 years ago.  My nephew had one but sold it pretty quick because of feed issues.

Better or worse than an AK? Worth building an AR15 in 7.62? Like most of my hot and fast obsessions, most likely nothing actually comes of it, but it's a fun thing to bench race.

I just picked up some of these for my .300-221.

One of the major components to firearm reliability is the magazine, and AR 7.62x39 mags aren't great. You can get an AR lower that uses AK mags, but that may or may not be more trouble than it is worth. You may have more fun reloading 7.62x39-like performance for your AR-10.

Worse than an AK.  I was just looking at building an AR15 in 7.62 last night.  After watching this video I'm passing as I wanted to do it as a budget pistol build and seems like there's to many special parts required.

That may not be a bad idea, but part of the draw is how cheap that surplus 7.62 stuff is. I'm not sure I could roll my own anything near that cheap. The goal may or may not be purely mag dumps. It's a silly thing really.

I really want one of 2 specific single action revolvers and neither are in stock so I'm thinking about a 22tcm.

From cowboy gun to a rock island race esc 1911......that makes sense right?

I mean.... a 1911 always makes sense to me.

EDIT: Just ran across a SA micro compact 1911 (3") with 5 mags, holster and carry ammo for $800. New RT660's or this?

I don't know how you guys feel about Alien Gear holsters, but my customer service experience has been better than any company I have ever patronized.

I bought a Cloak Tuck 3.0 for my 1911.

I can't IWB a 1911 so I bought an FNS9c.

They advertised they would replace the kydex part if you ever get a different gun so I tried it out.  Not only did they send prepaid shipping, as soon as they got a tracking number they had my new shell on the way.  Took 4 days total, free as in, zero money on my end.

Yesterday I called because my belt clips have worn out, and after looking at them online I called to see if the "3.5" toolless clips would work with my 3.0.  She is shipping an ENTIRE NEW holster in their new and improved model.  The old one was $6 less than the current model, so that's my cost.  Prepaid shipping, pay the 6 bucks and I get a brand new rig.

The best part is she asked if they could have the old one because I've had it so long they want to check it out for product development.

New shell because I changed guns $0

New holster because they have improved the design, with 4 styles of belt clips to try $6

Shipping $0

I bought the first one in Jan 2016.

That's called an AR10 and the prices are considerably higher than for AR15.  At least when buying an already built one.

or maybe not.  I thought you said 7.62 as in 308.

Yeah a lot of different 7.62s on both sides of the coldwar.  I just recently learn about the VZ-52 that uses the 7.62x45.
