This was a book on Sports Cars I read sometime between 1978 and 1985. I'm guessing it was probably more towards the 70s. The book highlighted individual model and the author provided some thoughts and experiences with each. It was a good book, but the only things I can remember for sure is that the author said Mike Collins died chasing a phantom 300SL, and that some woman in LA drove her 300SL around with the doors up, until she pranged them going into a garage.
But the thing I most remember was a black and white photo of a bugeye Sprite cornering hard, and the caption said, "Happy Face at play."
Anyone remember it? I need title and author if possible.
