Yeah, I've been reading about that build for a few years. I love what he did with the body (basically fiberglass with wood fibers instead of glass fibers) but think he may have taken a good idea and run a little too far with it.

He's right to want to show that wood is an under-utilized sustainable material that you can build nifty stuff out of. That doesn't mean it is the right material for EVERY job.
