In reply to Brett_Murphy: There are many reasons for aft mounted props. In this case high and aft mounted provides: clearance to the wet stuff below, maintains flow over the wing root at low speed and high pitch, provides flow over the tail surfaces at low speeds and on the water (for maneuvering), keeps the prop out of the water and away from spray/debris

Heck, they're even covered with filters. Much less titillating than naked velocity stacks.

See?

Curious how the landing on the off-road trucks compares to the offshore boats? Cause I can tell you that in the boats it hurts

gobs of suspension vs a big flat surface coming down onto non-compressible water. i think suspension wins every time. I cant say i have jumped a pre-runner or an offshore boat but i have jumped a stock suspension truck and a small bass boat, the truck was rough but in the boat... lets just say i use to be taller

You can see the Top Banana sign always figured it was there for the passengers to read as a billboard.

In addition to being a small town police, firefighter, farmer, and much later insurance salesman, my grandfather delivered fuel oil (and probably grain and lumber and who knows what else.) I like to imagine he drove a truck something like this.

Me, today, at work, did this, all while saying "Facemeats... faaaacemeeeeeeats...."
