Imagine going 136.36mph in 1907 on a motorcycle with an air-cooled V8 designed for use in a dirigible, with no suspension, no real brakes to speak of, the tire technology of 1907, and no transmission. Oh, and on sand. Yeah, the dude had stones.

I might get dragged for this, but I think it's better looking than the C-47/DC-3.

Also, really interesting museum. Glenn Curtiss is kind of like Tesla, really ground-breaking guy who doesn't seem to get the credit he deserves.

The Curtiss was better at flying the hump than the DC3.
