Similar.... but those looked like 3 Kawasaki Triple, TWO strokes!

Those bikes where scary fast with one motor!    (Of course that is a drag bike, and more power = gud)

Candy Purple 1975 Kawasaki H2 750 two-stroke triple with only 7k on the odometer at Atlanta ...

Yeah, that's still a lot of power, but 3 750 4 strokes will make almost half the power of 3 750 two strokes!

Regarding the Potter drag bike.  I believe that bike is direct drive, so it would launch from the stand, hit the ground spinning and spin the tires the entire track as hooking up made bad things happen (not sure of the dynamic there, but my guess is there is very little steering with that super fat rear tire?).

I've never seen it run, but EJ had an electric drag car (ahead of the Tesla curve?) as it ran down 1320 ft. a big spool of wire ran after him.  Someone drove after to wind up the wires, took about 3 minutes.

Yeah, i think they said the wheel speeds would be well over 120mph when they dropped it on the ground. You can also see the shortened Hilborn stacks on cylinders 2 and 4, so that he wouldn't pinch his right hand between them and the handlebars when steering it. Also, that was just a regular industrial chain rates for 25hp that they used.
