Long story short, It appears I had an RV light activate while the popup was closed. Thank fully the melted canvas is the brunt of the damage.

I would sandwich canvas on the inside and outside with shoe goo. or hand stich a patch on and hit with camp dry.
I'd use HH-66 cement to bond the patch and stitch with Dental floss. That's how we alway patched the pop up when i was a kid.
