My new house has a rolled curb at the end of the driveway that is pretty tough to get up. It's a big bump in the Explorer or Ranger, but a big scrape in the Focus if I don't get the angle just right. Anybody have any experience with ramps to make it softer? These from bridjit seem like they're highly rated, but not super cheap. Anyone use these or similar? Any input? Needs to be neighborhood friendly, so no 2x4s, lol. Thanks!

People down the road from us have those. They get hammered by the snow plows.

Never thought of plows... I'm at the end of a cul-de-sac though, so that may not be an issue.

If you have an HOA, be prepared for one shiny happy person to start complaining about the legality of proper water runoff and drainage.  "Won't anyone think about the wetlands?!!?"

I could see how clogging could be an issue

How heavy are your rains?  That is not a very big hole to handle a lot of rain coming down ( bottom of hill)  or going down ( top of hill)  your street.  That water is going to go somewhere.  Like out into the street = flooding.  Happens at the end of my drive and I have a 12' culvert under my drive that the county put it.  The path of least resistance which is into the road, is the way it goes here.

Those Bridjit things are popular in a neighborhood we walk through. They last a long time and handle water and weather well.

Piece of boiler plate wide enough to cover but its top surface is 1/2" or so below the road.  Water still passes under.  I've seen people use cat walk grates also.
