Yawing into the wind is typical when landing.. the trick is to get it straight just before touchdown

Look up the Hong Kong airport. Only one runway,  if I remember correctly. Airliners have to just eat the crosswind until the last second. No other choice.

That pilot had to need a fresh set of pants after that.  Good on him for sorting it out.

Landing in Hong Kong can be exciting.  The commuter airport in the center of Taipei is interesting as well.

747 gear is designed to handle up to 45d crab angle at touchdown, I believe.  Not enough ground clearance below the engines for much roll angle.
